Our flagship training centre is in Pune within Jehangir Hospital Premises. After running 12 successful batches in Pune, we are now launching a new training facility in Navi Mumbai.

Keeping with the tradition of having a training institute, where the action is, we are opening our new Mumbai branch in Sahyadri Terana hospital premises, opposite Nerul railway station, Navi Mumbai.

Is there any Job Guarantee?

Let us talk about the possibility of getting a job. The jobs in the market are governed by demand-supply gap. If there is more demand than the supply, jobs are available quickly, where as if the supply is more than the demand obviously, more time is required to get placed.

At the moment lot of work is being outsourced to India and there are a lot of positions available for fresher's especially in CDM and Pharmacovigilance sector.

As a student, one has to make sure to put in the best to learn and get the most of the advantage that you get due to practical training at JCL.

Which sectors will I get placed in?

There are opportunities in Research divisions of hospitals, SMOs (Site management organizations), CROs(Contract research organizations), Pharmaceutical companies, and ITES companies (Information technology enabled services).

How many interns has JCDC recruited?

A number of students who get opportunity to work with JCDC as an intern are absorbed in JCDC. If you look at the current JCDC staff, 95% are the past students of JCL.

What will be my exact Job title?

You will have one of the following job titles depending on which stream you join CRC, CRA, Assistant clinical services, QA associate, Clinical operations specialist, Drug process associate, Clinical data associate etc.

Do I need to know programming of any Computer Language for learning clinical data management?

No. You are not required to know coding of any computer language in order to learn CDM at the entry level. However later on as you make progress in the career, learning medical coding will give you a career boost.

Career opportunities in Life sciences/pharma/clinical research?

At the moment clinical research and allied careers are the most well rewarding careers for the Life Science/pharmacy/clinical research graduates, compared to the traditional jobs available in market like manufacturing, production, QA, QC etc.

Do companies recruit freshers?

At the moment, a lot of work is being outsourced to India in CDM and Pharmacovigilance. Hence students with formal training in data management and Pharmacovigilance are preferred.

Is it necessary to do formal training in clinical research?

Yes training is useful. In order to get job ready, certification has to be complemented with practical training or internship.

What is the advantage of taking training and internship from JCL?

JCL is a training division of JCDC which is well respected Investigator site network in India since 2004. Hence there are obvious advantages available for JCL students like in house recruitment at JCDC, training and guidance from of highly experienced JCDC managers and associates.

What range of salary will I get as a fresher?

The salaries are in the range of 1.2 to 1.8 lakhs per annum along with attractive growth path.

Do pharmacy/life science graduates have the same career path as MBBS or doctors of other faculties?

It is important to understand that clinical research requires team play. Every small bit of work in clinical research requires a specialized skill and educational background. E.g. if you are a doctor by education, the work that will be allotted to you will be entirely different that what a pharmacy graduate will do. There is no restriction for career progression as long as you are putting in your best in your job.

Which domain people are required in clinical research?

In Clinical research students with life science background as well as those with good soft skills are preferred.

Are there any criteria for recruitment in terms of percentage score in graduation level?

There should be good scores in your graduation. But that's not the only criteria.

Which books should be referred for Clinical research training?

There are no specific books available for Clinical research training. The study material carefully developed by experienced clinical research professionals of JCDC. In addition to the material developed in-house, you have to refer to various guidelines like GCP, Schedule Y (D & C act 1948).
